Amazing Paint Pony *Price Reduced* in Lisbon, Ohio

Cody, a sweet 13 year old, registered Blue eyed tri color Paint pony (13.2 hands tall), is looking for a forever home. His accomplishments include:
* Consistently placed well in 4H contest, western pleasure, trail and halter classes;
* Competed in youth rodeo for 5 years of the past 6 years (winning 5 belt buckles, 3 jackets, 1 vest) I rode him in a set pattern for a rodeo competition and he scored very high);
* has been a lesson horse for several years;
* trails with a variety of riders;
* Star performer at YMCA equine kid's camp this past summer; Jumping, English, and trails;
* xxxx Ohio State Reserve Pole Bending Champion.
*I was able to ride him bareback and bridle less before rodeo season started last spring.
* Trick Training for fun. He bows, smiles, and gives kisses on command.
*I have done English, roping, team penning, jumping, and endurance riding for fun; and have worked on some driving skills.
Notable traits:
* Very mellow with beginner riders, but will get antsy with experienced rider;
* No vices. Ties, stands for farrier, lunges, hauls, clips; puts his head into a halter held open. He will bathe, but doesn't enjoy it.

* Totally kid safe and easy to catch;

We are looking for a young girl with a nice seat that is passionate about horses (he isn't very fond of men/boys). He needs someone that will work with him regularly and do a variety of things with him. He is a pony; he gets bored doing the same things all the time. I would love to keep him, but I have grown too tall, when he turns a barrel or pole, my feet touch the ground. I am a horse trainer and have too many projects this year to let a fantastic, smart pony just sit in the field and go to waste. It is not fair to him.

Cody is a gorgeous athlete; a stocky fellow with great manners, high energy, and no vices. As my daughter mentioned above, he does very well a wide variety of activities and enjoys new challenges; consistently throwing all of himself into whatever she asks of him. He has a competitive heart, a mischievous spirit, a very friendly temperament, and a LOT of buttons! Cody will take care of a timid rider, but will not be content doing only that.
Cody needs a home where he will be respected, challenged, and kept a part of daily life. With his energy level, being confined for long periods with no intense activity will make him crazy. We are seeking a young rider possessing a passion equal to Cody's; a rider who recognizes wrong responses indicate misunderstanding, not disobedience; a rider whose competitiveness is founded in improving what they did last time; a rider who, not only is willing to put in the time to be a champion, but also is unafraid to explore new activities. We are seeking a rider who is a worthy teammate to this valiant pony.
